auto-translated: We were here for two nights from 17 to 19 May 2023. An ideal base to explore the northeast. A very friendly owner. Always up for a "chat". Until the conversion in 2017 to a campground, it was a farm. Around 10 pitches are available for large campervans on a gravel surface including electricity (according to the owner there are plans to expand the site). Plenty of spaces on the meadow by the sea for smaller vehicles. Dumpsite is available, whereby the gray water may be dumped laterally on a field (O-tone owner: "99.9% Water). On both days we shared the campground with about 100 people and about 50 vehicles. For campers who depend on kitchen and sanitary facilities, it could be tight especially in the summer months. For the first day we paid 1,800 ISK per person and another 900 ISK for electricity. On the second then 1,000 ISK per person. In summary, a very nice campsite, but in the future due to its increasing popularity should become more crowded.

Best place right by the sea with a view of the northern lights!!!!!
The kitchen is perfectly equipped and on request you get
any support and for example an extension cord if needed!
necessary!

Despite arriving and leaving in snowy conditions, we absolutely loved this site - the place itself is in an incredible and beautiful position at the north coast of Iceland. On a nice day, it would be stunning. The facilities are good, the only minor issue was that there were only two cooking rings, so cooking might get slow when it's busy. The owner himself is absolutely fantastic - genuinely interesting and a nice guy.
