The campsite is off the main route, which makes it a quiet and pleasant place to stay. Remember to buy your food on the way, as there are no shops in the vicinity. Sognecamp is very well located for visiting the various places along the Lysefjord: the ferry stop is only 3 kilometers from the campside.
The facilities at the campside are basic: 2 toilets and 2 showers, no kitchen or cooking equipment. Tents can be pitched at the small fields behind the main building. Camper vans and caravans stay on the central tarmac square that also offers 2 large picnic tables. The owners are a friendly couple. Depending on the season you may experience the small biting midges. Make sure to bring some repellent.
