auto-translated: Sandviken Camping is a lovely campsite in a beautiful location! At the time we were there, it was very quiet and therefore plenty of space. Can imagine that this might be different in high season. The sanitary facilities were usually very clean (1x not, bad luck is always possible) but very basic. Pizza can be taken away in the evening and fresh bread rolls in the morning, out of season though with fewer options. The washing machine and dryer are 35 NOK each, tokens to be collected at reception. The washing machine does not require a token so this could be free but is not intended. Opposite the campsite is a troll walk, fun to do and nice views but also quite steep. Supermarket is about a 20-minute walk.
We were here on a sunny, warm Friday and Saturday and on Saturday a lot of day trippers came to enjoy the water. This made the waterfront very crowded and one sanitary block also very crowded. That was unfortunate. In the evening (6pm) live music by the owner, singing and guitar. Was nice to hear.
Good to know: the campsite is very LGBTQ+ friendly; the owner has a wife herself and here and there are rainbow flags.

auto-translated: Sandviken is one of the most beautiful campsites on our trip so far. The surroundings are simply beautiful. The lake is super clear. You can hire rowing boats, canoes, kayaks and SUPs. Showers and even the washing machine are free of charge. Unfortunately, the water in the shower is a bit cold. In any case, you can't really warm up after coming out of the rather fresh lake. However, there is a sauna that you can hire. 1 hour for 500 crowns or 2 hours for 700 crowns. The sauna is heated up and handed over clean. With the panorama, it's a must when you're on the campsite. We will definitely be back.

auto-translated: Great place right on the lake. Very lovingly maintained and very clean. There is a barrel sauna with a view of the lake, the reception offers cheap pizza and drinks in the evening. Very nice staff. You can hardly hear the street. Shower, Wi-Fi all included. Highly recommended. Not too busy in September either.
