First Camp Gränna - Vättern - Reviews

Site on the edge overlooking the lake.
Frote generous pitches too.
Nice walking distance to the candy cane village.
Other than that, you don't have very much there.
We did have a super delicious meal in Valvet Retaurang. Small but nice.

The only problem is the prices. Everything is quite expensive.

The ferry to the island departs about 200m from the CP.
The CP is large, flat, meadowy and has at most 10% shade.
Sanitary facilities are new and clean...however, we had problems with the water regulation on these 2 days.
Either I could take a cold shower or I scalded myself.
Kitchen also everything very clean , everything available...microwave, stove, oven etc.however the water to wash up was also only lukewarm.
In the evening you can see a beautiful sunset over the lake.
In the building of the reception is a small store and you get daily from 8 am fresh rolls.

auto-translated: we were received in a friendly manner. However, the price for an overnight stay is set arbitrarily. We had to pay 680 SEK per night with a 5 meter caravan, a caddy and 2 people without electricity. We found that considerably too expensive.

The staff was friendly and they asked us where we wanted to stand.
But, there is only one sanitary building. However, here the facilities are modern and quite clean. The sanitary building is heated. In the wash-up room there are hobs, ovens and microwaves, the use of which is free.
In the reception there is a small store where you can buy the most necessary things.
Next to the ferry dock there is also a small animation area, a playground and a, separated from the lake, shallow "bathing lake".
Here were few international guests and several permanent campers.
We noticed that on the campsites is hardly greeted. We know this from other countries differently.
Overall, we were satisfied and would come again.
Electricity, shower and kitchen are included in the price.

The CP is right next to the port of Gränna and you can take the ferry to the island. A lot of gastronomy at the harbour and Gränna has a nice promenade with many candy shops (typical for this area?).
A great 4-star place that also costs money with 425 SEK per night.

Sanitary facilities clean and large.
The campsite is situated directly in the village, which is a tourist centre.

Otherwise everything was clean, the utility rooms offered ovens, microwaves, ceramic hobs, sinks... simply everything top.
